Summer transfer window 2023

So many people need to get off FIFA and live in the real world.

We’ve no money.
I wouldn't be so sure. We had no money last summer and managed to spend roughly £60m on signings. Sure, we used the Richarlison money to pay for these but since then we've sold Gordon for £45m and moise Kean has left for £28m. With some further departures there will be money to spend

We need to start generating sales if we want to see any movement. Simms, Gray, Keane, Holgate, Gbamin, Gomes we need to shift some of these players. That's before we even talk Onana as we might be waiting longer in the window to get the required bid for him when the likes of Rice and Caicedo have moved.

I don’t think you’re a million miles off being realistic with your numbers and with the likely / possible transfers. Maybe 50m net is a touch high but a few more fringe sales of the likes of Gray etc could help. But bearing in mind amortisation etc getting money in the door can in accountancy terms fund more going out the door for the purposes of FFP.

He'd sport the most pathetic moustache on an Everton player since Steven Pienaar attempted to grow one.
Paul Power had the best one btw

If we’re talking power moustaches then I think despite not being a player, John Clinkard aka Magnum was king!

Shout out for Neil Pointin and Bob the Pole.

Big Nev of course.
My favourite was Terry Curran. (@mods, please move to Everton Muzzies thread if not allowed)
On topic: sign/sell someone you absolute shower.

I'm genuinely curious, would the following be classed as a good transfer window (based on what I see as plausible outcomes):

Out:
Simms - £3.5m
Maupay - £6m
Iwobi - £13m
Dobbin - loan
Mills - loan

In:
Dia - £21.5m
Beto - £30m
Harrison - £16m
Ben Johnson - £6m
Tom Krauss - £5m
Maitland-Niles - free
Robles - free
Scratch anyone over 6m on that list...in fact just see the last two as being realistic

Yes but where is that fifty million coming from?

I dont know when the sale was completed but if it was during January 2023, it will be in our accounts for year 30 June 2023
Yeah it’ll be in the account as a sale but that fee won’t be transferable to the buying budget as it’ll have been used for other costs, otherwise, like the Gordon fee that disappeared, it should have been used in January

Simms is actually a good punt for a promotion chasing team. Proven goal scorer in that division is worth a few Bob
