Last season Maupay had a shocker for Everton and Rodrigo was relegated...before that their strike rate was almost identical...the guy is at the end of his career and should play out his days in the sun...absolutely not what we need here
Only difference mate Rodrigo scored a decent 13 goals for them, missed a part of the season with injury and wasn't used much by Allerdyche. So not really Rodrigo to blame for their relegation
As for Maupay any more games with him on his own up front and we would have been down. Every time he played for us i had a feeling we could play for 2 more hours and he wouldn't score

Just to illustrate my point :-

We shouldn’t have a squad of over 25 give or take mate, that’s been part of our problem, at times we’ve been as high as 37 and have had to carry that wage and amortisation Bill that’s given us our huge losses that mean we can’t make signings.

The focus has to be on that 25, there are clear positions we can improve to be functional - 3 jump out in Gomes, Gbamin and Dele - none played for the club last year. Anyone else leaves like Gray, Simms, Iwobi, Maupay you have to target improvement in that base. It’s about improving the baseline quality, creating more functional options of some and bettering on the natural departures, rather then adding numbers in my opinion.

I'm not blaming him for Leeds' struggles but nor do I blame Maupay for ours...he will be sold and may do OK elsewhere.

want to sign Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, battle on with Burnley and Nottingham Forest

Everton are in the race to sign Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho after their relegation from the Premier League, according to Tribal Football.

Sean Dyche is desperate to add some goals and options to his forward line for the new season, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin struggling for fitness and both Ellis Simms and Neal Maupay not good enough for what we need.

Iheanacho is one exception to my general rule that talented doesn't get missed in the PL. This guy has a goal or assist every 116 minutes for his PL career and somehow has never been the lead guy for a team. Massively underrated.
