Iheanacho is one exception to my general rule that talented doesn't get missed in the PL. This guy has a goal or assist every 116 minutes for his PL career and somehow has never been the lead guy for a team. Massively underrated.
He’s boss. How link up play when he’s asked to play off a number 9 is brilliant also. Very underrated. Heard he’s on well mad wages at leicester like 150k a week or more.

Does drift into excellent positions. But missed easily enough absolutely belting chances this season to have had Leicester way over 40 points.

That said, someone who is at least in the places you’d hope a striker would be is exactly what we’ve missed for a long time, apart from a few months of Carlo era Dom.

It is odd he doesn’t start every time he was fit. I will always believe managers will do everything possible to secure their jobs by securing points. Strange. Would imagine Leicester fans always happy when he came on as a sub if Vardy was toiling, but not up in arms when he didn’t start.

Definitely depends on how much £ and how much he wants to be the main man. Imagine teams higher than us will be interested as he is dangerous, but again he may not always start.

We shouldn’t have a squad of over 25 give or take mate, that’s been part of our problem, at times we’ve been as high as 37 and have had to carry that wage and amortisation Bill that’s given us our huge losses that mean we can’t make signings.

The focus has to be on that 25, there are clear positions we can improve to be functional - 3 jump out in Gomes, Gbamin and Dele - none played for the club last year. Anyone else leaves like Gray, Simms, Iwobi, Maupay you have to target improvement in that base. It’s about improving the baseline quality, creating more functional options of some and bettering on the natural departures, rather then adding numbers in my opinion.
This was my point, we still have 24 1st team players having let 6 leave... we could let another 6 leave that don`t play for us and bring 4 or 5 in of good quality...

The squad is bloated, I don`t buy we need to replace them that have left, I see it as we need more outgoings at strengthen in the key areas.

all for Iheanacho but his wages are astronomical, something we probably want to avoid...
Yes money wise it isn't great and he's at an age where we won't be selling him on. He might just be good enough to ignore those issues though. It's a decision I'm glad I'm not making.

was bad move not to try and give new contract our best CH
and would have given time to bed brathenwate in to 1st team
Yup - that would have given Branthwaite the first 20 minutes of the season to bed in before Mina pulled a muscle and was out 2 months.

We can’t be paying this much to players who spend more time on the training table than the pitch.

He is class when healthy, but sadly that is just not often enough.

I’d have loved him to stay but end of the day the club will have consulted the medical team about his injury prospects and taken their advice. Other clubs might well take the risk but our medical staff know him best and if they said release him can only trust their judgement.
