….we have to have strict criteria regarding extended contracts (and transfers). If a player on a big contract is injured most of the time then starts playing well when his contract is due up, it has to be a huge swerve.
I like Mina lots but having players with his record is not what we want if the club seeks true stability.
Never trust players who start to perform when their contracts are running down.

Assuming Myers is hearing from someone at the club, it's unusual to hear an opening approach described as a "good offer". If a fair offer is probably 10-15m that suggests to me the reports of 20m might not be far off what's on the table.
