Assuming Myers is hearing from someone at the club, it's unusual to hear an opening approach described as a "good offer". If a fair offer is probably 10-15m that suggests to me the reports of 20m might not be far off what's on the table.

If we get anywhere near £20M for Gray that'd represent a fantastic profit on the £2M paid for him.

was bad move not to try and give new contract our best CH
and would have given time to bed brathenwate in to 1st team

Was on high wages and cant stay fit was right to let him go. I think braithwaite should be ready to come in pre season and hopefully get that first team spot has got more experience now from league one championship and now in the dutch league.

I think Adam Wharton would be a tidy signing as rotation option for Garner/Onana perhaps. He'd certainly get more games for us than the Geordies as well.

We need 4 players in the middle and all 3 have the right age profile. The PSG link or an Alex Scott could be a nice 4th option...but we'll probably keep Gana i suppose.



Ive said this for a while now. Even though some are named who would likely be moved on loan, theyre still in the squad / on the books.

As you suggest, could put 6 and add 5 -- much more could be punted if we promoted kids too.

Is good to keep gana if we get a wharton or young player puts less pressure on them and can work to get in the team and grow into the role to make an impact later in the season and take more of a starting role the season after.
