He's closer to Kenwright's role

Sort of seems to be a mix of DBB and Kenwright's responsibilities

He isn't a DOF, he had Edu and someone else before him as DOFs at Arsenal I think

It could be msp pushing for this head of football appointment. If reports are right about them getting a major say in club decisions.

Supposedly they were impressed in a meeting with Thelwell.
Surely that would point to them pushing for him to be allowed to do his job unhindered.

Nobody knows of course. But I'd think that Thelwell & Dyche should be allowed get on with it over the next few weeks. Even after that, I'd think we'd have enough change and instability (excepting the board) and could do without more. They will have their targets and changes now would be harmful.

I don't see this happening.

Sadly Holgate still has 2 years left on his deal, I can't see anyone paying money for him right now. But at least with a loan if he does well, there's a chance the loaning club may wish to make the deal permanent the following season.

Got sacked by us because of the Pepe deal, with later findings coming out about him swindeling money from it personally.

For all the negativity and lack of faith in our recruitment, which I can understand btw, I think we'll have at least 2 new faces through the door by the end of next week.

Let's hope they are 'new' whenever they arrive...nobody who was found looking sad on a regular basis on last season's MOTD

Could Holgate be part of a deal to bring Ndiaye from Sheffield Utd ? Possibly a year loan with us picking up large chunk of his wages and an option to buy at a low figure?

Oh yeah I agree about that. Tbf, I imagine those clubs will only ramp up loan talks towards the end of the window anyway as they still have plenty of time to permanently sign players.

i think you have the backing of GOT lol. But unfortunately we dont operate like that. Last time i remembered such a deal was when we got El Ghazi shoved down our throats

We'll have to start this failry soon now. This week we'll get form connections and I;d guess we'll be wrapping a couple up next 10 days. The pre-season training starts mid-July? Dyche will want a couple of new faces to take to Switzerland.
