There is logic in having a Director of Football - someone above KT that sits on the board and influences high level footballing decisions. Whether this geezer is the right man for the job is a different kettle of fish altogether.

We need structural change. We need board members that know how to run a business under stringent financial conditions. We need proper business men and proper football men. Anyone is an improvement on Chairman Bill, DBB and Sharpy

Sadly Holgate still has 2 years left on his deal, I can't see anyone paying money for him right now. But at least with a loan if he does well, there's a chance the loaning club may wish to make the deal permanent the following season.
