That says a lot doesn’t it? We get a loan player in, who following his loan spell where he did not feature is only good enough to go to Hull….what an absolute joke of a wage and a loan place. These are the type of things I look at….once someone leaves us, where do they then go….this gives an indication of whether they were good enough at this level in the first place.

For example, not a player but Bob Elstone. He leaves us and goes to be CEO of RFL, and following a short stint there, ends up at Stockport County…I think he’s left there now as well. It shows the quality of our appointments and our recruitment generally. I wonder where DBB ends up?

Sick of the awful, lazy internal appointments where the guy who makes the tea ends up as finance director or CEO. Moshiri’s biggest failure.

i dont think we're gonna sign as many players as people think, Dyche has always worked with a smaller squad. We will see more outgoings than incomings
Maybe not but we still need about six players to have a decent squad. Back up goalie, left back, centre back, backup midfielder, right winger/forward and a striker. I can see loans or frees and a few small purchases depending who we sell.

For me, Dyches time at Burnley was equivalent to Moyes with us, only on significantly less funds.
Moyes is hailed as ‘the Moysiah’ by some yet Dyche is cited as beneath us 🤷🏻‍♂️
And there are plenty of us, myself included, who don't like Dyche and hate the love-in for Moyes. He never won anything. It is the sign of our fall as a club that everyone talks about Moyes like he's some managerial god.

He was a good appointment who improved us and built a good side on a budget. However, he hit his own glass ceiling with us. Taking the shackles off when we played better sides away from home once we built a decent side, would likely have yielded enough points for CL the seasons we finished 5th etc.

His decision to go defensive away to Fiorentina when we had been so good in the UEFA Cup essentially cost us the tie. Trying to see out the cup final and semis after an early goal, with no attempt to attack etc. Never seen a manager do what he did when it came to holding on either: two banks of 9 or 10 practically on our box with no attempt to go forward, no pressing patterns. Hoe many goals were scored against us late on from distance because of that??

Having said all that, he's twice the manager Dyche is 😄

Do you think a prem team would trust a 20yr old kid with limited prem experience and ply him straight away.

The Dutch league is the championship with a couple of very good teams. And the likes of Psv and Ajax would be mid table at best in the prem.

Levi Colwill ?

Played on loan last year in the championship and spent last year with high flying Brighton ?

All we ever do is appoint people who are Everton fans or people who are no obvious threat to Kenwright/Moshiri. I yearn for the days when we just appoint the best person for an actual job role. Club is littered with "Yes men/women" throughout.

If we’d said the price on him was 15mil he’d have already gone. You only but a few out in the media if it’s a ridiculous one

That’s what PSV said not us … I remember reading it

I’m pretty bad on computers etc but just found the article 31 may this year and was on another popular Everton site

Say what you want mate. He's terrible.

It's a sign of the Stockholm syndrome that permeates Evertonians that so many love him. These will be the same people moaning that we are nowhere near the likes of Brentford and Brighton. I wonder why.

We simply cannot try and stay in the division Burnley style. We need to get in young players and, like it or loathe it, in the modern game, need to have some discernable patterns of play to attract most players. Dyche very much is from a bygone era. As are we and the combination is terrifying.
Might be easier for you to be able to accept that people have different opinions and may feel that Burnley maybe a different beast to what we are rather than insult a difference of opinion

Fofana at Leicester was playing in the team at 17/18. If you are good enough then you will get games. Branthwaite clearly has some ability but again in that game the other day against a poor Germany I noticed his positioning (at times) is pretty poor, I can't say I'm 100% convinced he is this wonderkid everyone else thinks.

But in the paragraph you've highlighted, I'm not insulting a difference of opinion over a manager, player, coach or match. I'm bemoaning the long standing issue, witnessed on these pages many times, of our fans constantly moaning about how rubbish we are now and how we've been left behind, whilst continually advocating for/excusing the kind of decisions that have put us there.

Anyway. On a transfer note, we've been linked with Wharton again this morning.

Could be a good signing. Take it with a pinch of salt though as it says we are looking at offering them Maupay or Simms in exchange and we seldom see deals like that.

He played 17 prem games, less than half. And his first start was 12 games into the season And I did say that could be the same with Branthwaite.

Also Brighton at times play 3 CB’s
