What would the point of that be? It's odd that you would rather have a discussion (although I suspect you want him to name an alternative just so you can say it's unrealistic or that they would be worse than Dyche) about some theoretical manager than discuss the one we actually have.
I'm just interested who he thinks was available at the time Lampard was sacked and if his choice would have realistically taken the job. I'm only asking for an opinion of who he sees as a better choice than Dyche. Oddly he sees that as aggressive.🙄

Because you keep weirdly shifting the goalposts each and every time. My point is that I don't rate Dyche. You then ask me who could realistically get this crew into Europe (as I stated, not something I would expect of any manager in our current state), now it is who was available at the time we hired Dyche and then whether they would have taken the job. How would I know what's in the minds of different managers, what their contract situations are/were and whether Everton would be prepared to pay for any contract relases etc?

Hypothetical nonesense that distracts from all the points I raised about why I don't like Dyche. It would be like someone on here going through a list of reasons (based on performance) why they don't like a player that plays for us and instead of discussing those points responding by saying well who else could we get that was available we could afford? They are different conversations.

I support Everton FC and want us to be better. You seem more interested in supporting Sean Dyche - which is really weird.

Yer that’s a good point mate. I would say not signing Coady is a mistake just on the defence though. I just think if Holgate goes he’ll need replacing. Our fullbacks aren’t great, midfield is average at best and attack without DCL is toothless. A lot areas need improving, it doesn’t appear that anyone is interested in coming to us, we don’t seem to have much money and possibly some of our better players want out in the likes of Iwobi and Gray who while haven’t been great won’t generate much money or not the surplus we need to replace them with quality players.

The majority of teams in the league were better than us, teams coming up have the chance to build with their increased revenues and I don’t trust our owner to get it together. We’re linked with a Blackburn defender this morning and looks like we’re trying to offload Maupay or Simms to get that done. Doesn’t scream we have the funds to get our business sorted does it
sadly all true what you are saying. There wil be players keen to join. However free scoring strikers are the hardest to get if you are a less attractive team to join. So here is hoping we get Rodrigo or Piroe soon. Also remember it is still early days so players are waiting to decide, teams are asking silly money, loan options to be decided after pre season etc. So fingers crossed for that striker coming in soon and some more movement on the outgoings because as you say it seems Simms or any other has to go before we shoot into action :).

IF...it starts to seem that there will be no proper additions in the squad im convinced that for some time now they have been prepairing for stint in the championship.
I do wonder though if that was the case surely our more saleable assets would definitely have been sold and there might have been some wiggle room. That’s not what I wanted just for clarity

Again mate all good points, i still worry about getting players in so late in terms of what we’re picking up and their quality and how quickly they settle into the squad
