It is moaning because

1. No one knows our financial situation at present

2. No one knows how good this kid is. If he turned out to be another Lukaku and we sold him on for £70m+ then does it really matter if we spend £30m on him same as Onana.

Some people like to moan mate - we signed Demari Gray for £1.7m and people moaned. We sign Onana for £30m and the same people moan.

Its boring to read 24/7.

The financial situation is completely irrelevant here anyway. The fact is we are not one of the big boys and have to cut our cloth accordingly. Like every other club.

And yes, because we could buy three El Bilal/Onana style players for the price we are going to pay for 1 and then could sell all three for even more. It's common sense, but if you dont get it then you dont get it.

Its not moaning either. Its just telling it like it is.

And nobody moaned at signing Gray for 1.7m. They "moaned" because that was all we had to spend. Probably because we were paying full whack for players before that.

You're right but I'd just like us to be abit braver sometimes but giving our financial situation I can why we are hesitant to do certain deals.

Completely agree and if they can stabilise a mid-table squad for the next couple of years these are the investments we hopefully start making. Been a couple of links to young players in the 4-5m bracket so hopefully it’s not something we’re ignoring.

Man Utd should have signed Casemeiro for 2 quid 10 years ago. Look at City signing Grealish for £100m - they **should** have identified his quality when Villa were in the Championship and willing to sell at a 1/3rd of the price.

Not really mate , they can afford to sign the finished article now as their turn over is huge and the standard of their starting 11 is not sunday league

Im good mate, its the minority of posters who do nothing but moan about everything 24/7 that need to take a step back and ask themselves is supporting EFC the right thing for their well being at the moment in their lives ?

Because if I was angry 24/7 with something I would sack it off and go take up a membership at Blundells Hill golf course or badminton.

I am in a wonderful place of Zen at the moment and its difficult to focus at times when you have the same stress heads pecking yer brain with unnecessary negativity.

Must be the £40m we had left over from the Connor Gallagher bid. Must’ve just misplaced it and found it again.

Everything about that Sky report was shocking.

They even had the audacity to include this analysis, on the same report, dated 30th Jan:

"The fact that Everton are trying to speak to a player of his calibre suggests that they are not going to be messing around in this transfer window."

Of course, we signed nobody in the end.

Sky have zero credibility when it comes to transfers anymore.
