I'm just interested who he thinks was available at the time Lampard was sacked and if his choice would have realistically taken the job. I'm only asking for an opinion of who he sees as a better choice than Dyche. Oddly he sees that as aggressive.

Why though? We got Dyche, he's talking about Dyche, Dyche is a relevant part of the history and future of this club. A theoretical managerial choice that didn't happen, isn't. Not really the point is it that big clubs can spend what they like and can afford players in their prime? Last summer alone Gnonto and Lavia were incredibly obvious ones that went for cheaper than fellas we brought in.

Its a food chain tho init.

PL clubs can afford to spend £20m-30m on players whereas clubs like Almeria cannot. Same way we cant spend £80-100m that clubs like Citeh and Utd can.

I find the whole "we should have signed this fella for x amount" often is moaning for the sake of moaning. Where do you draw the arbitrary line in any deal?

Why pay £7m when we could have identified him as an academy player and signed him for 500k ? Or better yet why pay 500k when we could have scouted him as a 6 year old.

But a properly run club, wound have the dof buying the players and getting a manager who suits the players.

Personally I’d hate dyche to waste money on the type of players, who we all thing he’d go for and then be stuck with them type of players for the next manager.

I get what you’re saying about just making sure we stay in the league next season. Is just hate us to sell Onana or Pickford and give dyche 60/70mil

A properly run club would have a DOF and manager who align.

Yeah exactly this for me. Toure seems fine enough, certainly far from the worst idea we've ever had, but it is just so much money for a club without any.

Based on various news stories, our scouting isn't the problem. It's the board signing off the transfers. Like Haaland, for example.

Haaland would have been on loan at Derby now if he signed for us.
