As with Moise Kean, it's a big outlay but I don't think we lose that much money if hes not what we hoped for and sell him on.

Think the point is that we need to start identifying these players when they cost £7m and not £30m+. Just like we should’ve done with Onana and countless others before him. We are a lazy club that can’t scout properly.

Based on various news stories, our scouting isn't the problem. It's the board signing off the transfers. Like Haaland, for example.

Man Utd should have signed Casemeiro for 2 quid 10 years ago. Look at City signing Grealish for £100m - they **should** have identified his quality when Villa were in the Championship and willing to sell at a 1/3rd of the price.

Not really the point is it that big clubs can spend what they like and can afford players in their prime? Last summer alone Gnonto and Lavia were incredibly obvious ones that went for cheaper than fellas we brought in.
