It will be difficult to assess what puts players off coming here: our status, boardroom chaos or manager's approach to the job and style of play. But even Dyche admirers must admit that he is not the best man to sell a prospective player a vision of where we are going as a club
Depends where you think we're going.....

We have to get creative with contracts and that doesn't have to mean mega wages. As it stands today we're a premier league club but a stepping stone. We can de-risk transfers for players by including releasing clauses eg if a top 4 team comes in you can leave for X. Euro places X+1. We should be including relegation clauses for all.

I'll hold my hands up and say I've never seen El Bilal Toure play a game of football... but his youtube videos are... underwhelming
Exactly the same on both fronts!
His first touch dosent look exactly like he knows how to hold the ball up! Its always cannoning off somewhere, which he then just legs it after!

That's exactly where I think we are. I'd like to think that slightly sad tale could be spun to look like a team with a plan to climb the table over the next three seasons. My fear is that survival becomes an end in itself and our stepping stone status is permanent. This needs, in my opinion, a little more than your sensible approach to transfers....essential for now, I agree....it needs some inspiration. My question is: where is that coming from?
