If we spend that much on a striker like that, does that mean the plan may be to play 4-4-2?

DCL, Rodrigo, Traore, Cannon. Not that bad.

Links to rodrigo and even that djanjuma again who both can play uptop. Also prob still trying to get maupay out but understand what saying is alot to pay on one player, they did have some money when we did make a bid for beto in jan
I’d rather spend it on one, than 3 maupays. We’d end up with one of the championship strikers linked and che Adams.

Or even better sign him for 8m 12 months ago.

We never seem to jump in at the right time with these kind of players. Same with Onana, could have got him from Hamburg for around 12m, a year later we pay 35m for him.

So you’re saying we should sell Onana for £60m and buy 5 Onana at hamburg quality players?

Honestly I’ve seen worse ideas… like signing Maupay

Sascha was the one all over the Onana deal last summer wasn’t he? Also appears to have mentioned Collins/Brentford early as well.

Have to admit hard to believe we’d be paying that money for any player though
It’s depends on the down payment I suppose, which moshiri could fund, but unlikely. The whole amount on the books could be 6mil a year.

And we still have a year to balance the books

Yeah I suppose it falls back under the Onana category as well, they were happy to take a few mill a year so.

Who knows.

Looks like he has some pace as well. Desperate for pace.

The 40 million bid is probably just BS anyway. We get linked with these kind of bids every single window. Cannot see Dyche wanting to gamble that sort of money on someone. Need to be spending what little we have very wisely this season to avoid another relegation battle. We don't have the luxury of nurturing this season.
But a properly run club, wound have the dof buying the players and getting a manager who suits the players.

Personally I’d hate dyche to waste money on the type of players, who we all thing he’d go for and then be stuck with them type of players for the next manager.

I get what you’re saying about just making sure we stay in the league next season. Is just hate us to sell Onana or Pickford and give dyche 60/70mil
