How much say will he actually get though? Id be very surprised if players/agents still fall for Kenwrights 'boys pen' routine anymore.
Will always have some links to agents kenwright because of his time here and deals has done. But agree he should. Not be key to deals with the rumours he could be gone after the msp deal. Others must step up and we must finally let people do what they have been bought in to do and paid by the club. Just hope finally we can get change now and the dof has the power now

Based on mins on the pitch he scored 7 goals in 14, 1 in 2 for a 21 year old. Yes please.

This Sacha fella had confirmed collins signing for brentford a week ago too, just now announced.

If we had €40m to spend on one striker then we should not be doing that and signing 2-3 forwards instead.
Links to rodrigo and even that djanjuma again who both can play uptop. Also prob still trying to get maupay out but understand what saying is alot to pay on one player, they did have some money when we did make a bid for beto in jan

TBH it’s probably not the worst way to invest the bulk of it in one young player we have scouted extensively, then try to bulk up on the cheap with, say, Rodrigo and a Danjuma loan.

Just need to look at Onana, he hasnt set the world alight but if sold it’ll be a decent profit just from getting a PL season under his belt and still being a young high potential player. Invest big and flesh out cheap is arguably a better strategy than spreading between 3 10m players when what you get at that price point isn’t guaranteed to be that good.

But Onana came into a decent midfield already. We have no strikers right now so going all in on one very unproven striker is dumb IMO.

But like I say, would still want to bring in more on the cheap, like Rodrigo and Danjuma. Investment wise and quality wise it’s probably better to get a 30m forward and two cheapos than to get 3 x 10-12m forwards and hope they’re good enough.

But then come end of the season the loanee returns and Rodrigo will be like a million and you still then need to go out and buy forwards and maybe even to replace the possible flop €40m Traore.

Just for arguments sake with who we're linked with, Toure, Harrison, Rodrigo and maybe Gnonto seem to be all available all in all for like £60-£70m with deals that we could probably structure favourably. Add in selling Gray, Kean and maybe Simms for probably £50m combined, as well as not spending anything from Gordon's £45m I genuinely don't understand how we couldn't afford it.

It might be all we have to spend but it's worthwhile in my opinion, basically addresses the worst part of the squad and overhauls it with basically Gray being swapped for those 4. Doesn't magically make us a great side but would probably mean we'd be fine for 10th-14th or something like that.

Could do with a GK, CM, CB and LB but remains to be seen if that happens. I suspect we would have to sell the likes of Holgate and try to get some sort of fees for Gomes, Dele and Gbamin to get any real quality in. Wouldn't be shocked if those positions were filled by cheap emergency backups closer to the end of the window, rather than trying to get starters in to compete.

The 4 forwards in though would be massive for us and by all accounts we're probably not far off them, maybe outside of Gnonto, he'll be tough.

Does he play for AFCON team? If so, he will be away on AFCON duty and we have a few missing already when AFCON kicks off, something to consider

To be honest, if he puts off players who don't want to put a shift in, then we may well be better off.
I get that and suspect that's the type of player he attracts....no nonsense, train hard, leave everything on the pitch etc....ideal for the relegation scrap ahead. Problematic if we want to aim a little higher, in my view

Thats £34mil. I would guess it would be £20-25mil and the balance in clauses.

Kid looks like he has 'it' based on his Atletico and Barcelona showings...

If true, which is a big if.

Would iamgine a club like Almeira would take a structured deal. Guaranteed £6m per year for 5 years.

Helps us for the books that way.
