Opportunities where the player hasn’t seen a real minute selling for 4 mil on the last year of his deal is something that don’t come around often. Not bothered really. If he comes good, good on him.

Watched him for the u21s last season a few times. Good player but £4 mil is a lot of a money for a kid. Isn’t that what the academy is for?

When you consider that players we’ve paid tens of millions for have walked for zilch, £4m for a kid who cost us nothing, has never kicked a ball for the first team and had no intention of signing a contract is cracking business.

Personally thought he was the best prospect out the current crop.
A huge shame that we cannot keep our best players from the big clubs anymore, we had only recently lost Emilio Lawrence to Manchester City.

It's really sad, that we have to sell our young lads. But it's were we are as a club. Hopefully, the deal has a few nice bonuses in and a sell on.

With our record, of keeping kids until they are in their mid 20's who never get in the first team, yes it is. It's money now on potential, hopefully we won't regret it in a few years. But it's were we are as a club.
