Don't mean this as a personal dig, but this is the kind of stuff old scout types will say and then people will act like I'm completely crazy for not wanting to look at numbers sometimes.

Not only does SOT tell you he can make get in a good position and make space for the shot, it also says he could hit the target. Its a significant stat, especially when it is 4 times worse than a striker we all want rid of

tells me he is not good enough for the PL yet and taking the money is a good call

It is a small sample size, agreed, so on what basis are you rating him? Being better than when he was 18 is so common it's not a metric

Bringing him back was the mistake, because we bottled the transfer window for a better striker
I wish him well but we need to get money while we can for players not cutting it

I think his link up play is fine he's just not a target man and despite being tall can't be asked to be one. We've seen that with Rom before and it is apparently very hard to come around to for some coaches.

Louis Saha was 1 in 3, often not really starting games, that's a good ratio, especially at that time in the PL
Yakubu got 26 in his first 56 games before his injury! Thats a better record than Lukakus first 2 seasons

I remember him being linked with us before he went to Milan, he was highly rated. But I know nothing about him, or how he’s done since he’s been there. Just presume he’s been on our radar in the past.
