Absolutely! I was never one of the ones on his case. He put a serious shift in when we stayed up and has undoubted ability.

Don't mean this as a personal dig, but this is the kind of stuff old scout types will say and then people will act like I'm completely crazy for not wanting to look at numbers sometimes.

There have probably been people who didn't get signed because a scout said he has a doughy face lol

I think his link up play is fine he's just not a target man and despite being tall can't be asked to be one. We've seen that with Rom before and it is apparently very hard to come around to for some coaches.

For me they both back it up. I like how he plays. I like that he had a better goal scoring rate at a younger age than players who are leaving the championship for better leagues at higher prices.

Yakubu got 26 in his first 56 games before his injury! Thats a better record than Lukakus first 2 seasons

lukuku was only 20 tbf.

i loved the yak, but rom was on a different level even at a younger age
