In that case we are in serve trouble. Every season we wait and wait and wonder why we don't start well. A striker should have been first on the priority list and finances aren't an excuses when we have space on our wage bill for freesOnly Sheffield United, Fulham and us haven't signed anybody yet.
We need him to tell us who the young and beautiful player that's having a medical? And is he talking about them or their missus?Where are you @Tofeenut?! We need something, anything! lol
Hearing it's Jimmy BullardWe need him to tell us who the young and beautiful player that's having a medical? And is he talking about them or their missus?
Then we are relegated alreadyCannon and Mills might get a chance at this rate
I was wondering who Bobby Ball's replacement was going to beCannon and Mills might get a chance at this rate
He scored 17 in 30 in the Prem for Blackburn after we sold him. Wouldn’t mind a player as finished as that now.
But with Gordon sold and the Kean money it's likely we broke around even last year?
True it must be a consideration although isn't the alleged breach around tax and the stadium? We have already recouped money this summer too, we have to spend now or we drop its that starkWe probably did, but maybe the club have in mind the optics on spending as far as outside disciplinary bodies are concerned.
Who knows. It's all guess work.
I’d agree with this…it’s a gamble they willing took in January as well not brining in a strikerSheffield United and Luton are terrible. I can understand the expectation they'll go straight back down. And for my money Bournemouth and Wolves will struggle badly.
I can see their calculations, but it's a dangerous game to play...and that's where we are with this regime.

It probably is a factor imo. It should not be if it's some alleged tax infringement but caution and nervousness can win out when faced with the uncertainty of a commission, and the possible sanctions. It's a caution they should have applied years ago, but that's another argument. We probably did, but maybe the club have in mind the optics on spending as far as outside disciplinary bodies are concerned.

The truth is the manager will want to assess the whole squad before he makes big decisions. How much have other bottom half teams done? I can only think of a few Bournemouth brought in Kluivert's son, and Luton bought a centre back from the championship. Sad truth is even with money we are way down the pecking order.
Yes that's true, I don't expect all the business to be done now but some sign or signal of progress with a player to improve the team would help calm people down a bit. We are desperate hence the concern, we have just come off two seasons where we squeaked to safety, and have PTSD from the fact the club hasn't recruited in forward areas properly for years. The truth is the manager will want to assess the whole squad before he makes big decisions.
Other teams and players will be exactly the same so it always takes a couple of weeks into pre-season to start up.
The top teams are in another market so it’s completely different.
I’ve never known going over the top on the moaning to be so bad as this past few months.
