I imagine he's chosen trophy chases, European football and likely gaudy figures that guarantee him a national team spot over a hard relegation slog and that seems perfectly understandable to me.

All he's chosen, is to go to the one club who offered what Coventry wanted.

To be fair to Coventry, they've got a great fee (+sell on fee) for a player in the last year of his contract.

But let's get it right;

1st. English Premier League
2nd. Spanish LA Liga
3rd. German Bundesliga
4th. Italian Serie A
5th. French Lique 1
6th. Dutch Eredivisie
7th. Portuguese Primeira Liga
8th. Belgian Pro League
9th. Scottish Premiership
10th. Austrian Football Bundesliga

Not sure why you posted that list like I said Portugal was nearly as good. I was merely saying not everyone values the same things. If I'm him I'm choosing Sporting Lisbon 100 times out of 100.

And considering the standard of the Championship itself is probably better than Belgium and Scotland he's barely gone up the ladder at all.

I get that he might want to live in Portugal but he’ll still be at Fulham or Crystal Palace within a year.

Maybe because everton are mediocre

Portuguese based used to come over here

Mention everton?

Or he wanted a chance to play in Europe as many do?

At 25, and with less than a year on his deal he could have dug in and told Coventry he'd only go to a Prem team.

It wasn't only us interested. We and others evidently just weren't paying the fee Sporting wanted.

He can go and enjoy playing in Europe, just like Welsh football teams enjoy it. He could have played in the Prem - now he'll enjoy playing Vizela, Estrela, Farense, Chaves, Estoril Praia and co. Yeah, me either. I had to Google who play in that league.

That gives me question marks over his temperament. Choosing to go to Portugal at 25 when there's options - not just Everton - in the Prem.

I feel like people are focusing on the wrong things.

They appear distracted by the Saudis, Chelsea, Newcastle, even Southampton.

Focus on Evertons current major issue.

The Chairman.
Kenwright is a turd agreed

The club ain't moving anywhere until we get a board of note

When that will be will be anyones guess
