I guess the comparison is both are faded players brought in as squad fillers. Maybe he can be ok as a full back at times but is this really what we want? Ultimate squad filler pointless

That's true enough. It wouldn't be a disaster but I think we can do better than that, unless the club are just looking to upgrade on our LB/RB options as he can play off both sides.

Sporting have good scouting and a lot of talents come from there aka Ronaldo. I believe they got a gem in gyokeres and this will be proven with time

90% of Sporting's Talents are either homegrown Aka Ronaldo or scouted from south America at an early age.
Gyokeres is a strange signing for them. and other then the 'Europe' pull, It's a strange move from Gyokeres, when you could be playing in the biggest league in the world now.
