Right back is the strongest of the two full back positions too so it makes no sense in that respect either oh well
He's played loads at left back too, it's just that right back is where they needed him last season. His position map from 21/22 is pretty ridiculous, he can basically go anywhere:

I guess a utility player then as AMN was mooted to be , terrifying really. Look he used to be a very good player but that was over a decade ago, it's the shortest of stop gaps isn't it. We are on the bones of our arse aren't we.

TBH while I'm not in favour of either really if we do want a free utility player to bulk the squad I'd probably rather it be Young than AMN. AMN would presumably want a longer contract and we'd just be lumbered with another bang average player for years.

Tad unfair if you ask me. I’d wager if you were to survey all 25 year old footballers born outside England if they fancied Sporting, European nights, and living in Lisbon over playing for a current state Everton or Forest, 70% if not more are going to choose Sporting.
I'd wager you were completely wrong.
Proving yourself at the highest level is the most important thing to 99% of any player.

Why don't they just chose Rangers or Celtic if European competitions are the top of a players ambitions..

( And if you prove yourself at Everton or Forest then it won't be long before a big 6 team signs you and you're playing those competitions !!! )
