It doesn't strengthen us it's literally just a bloke in the squadSigning a 38 year old as cover for a 34 year old is peak peak Everton
I'm still assuming this guy is on the wind up, but if this is true, this has Dyche's MO all over it. Ancient British player, rather than scouting for any quality. If we had a different manager I would 100% dismiss it out of hand, but it is tapping into my fears.Unfortunately it appears it really is that obvious
He's played loads at left back too, it's just that right back is where they needed him last season. His position map from 21/22 is pretty ridiculous, he can basically go anywhere:Right back is the strongest of the two full back positions too so it makes no sense in that respect either oh well
I guess a utility player then as AMN was mooted to be , terrifying really. Look he used to be a very good player but that was over a decade ago, it's the shortest of stop gaps isn't it. We are on the bones of our arse aren't we.He's played loads at left back too, it's just that right back is where they needed him last season. TBH while I'm not in favour of either really if we do want a free utility player to bulk the squad I'd probably rather it be Young than AMN. AMN would presumably want a longer contract and we'd just be lumbered with another bang average player for years.I guess a utility player then as AMN was mooted to be , terrifying really. I'd wager you were completely wrong.Tad unfair if you ask me. I’d wager if you were to survey all 25 year old footballers born outside England if they fancied Sporting, European nights, and living in Lisbon over playing for a current state Everton or Forest, 70% if not more are going to choose Sporting.
If we're luckyIt's going to be another lonnng season
I can. I did.Why not? He played there for us already and he's been playing successfully there for England U21s too.
He's an adaptable player. You cant just put him in the CM category. Football isn't as clear cut as that.
