Personally I think we are just now returning to that. Now I dont think we will prioritize that, and instead will go for more up and coming players, but we will have the revenue and draw that those clubs do not have. Outside of Newcastle, who we aren't pulling players off of(and aren't bottom half anyway), we should be able to pull off of almost every other non-sly six club. It's not 1995 mate, the days of us being able to buy the best players from the bottom half clubs are gone. With the TV deal their income is similar to ours. Those players you've highlighted would cost £200 million on fees plus extras and we'd fail psr.
Yes my manLegit
What's the point in opening it for 10 days, closing it for 6 and then reopening it againDon't see us making a signing pre-30th June but the window itself will open early

Moshiri bought just as many bad younger players as he did older.

Honestly for me be happy getting a rig with doucoure gana still here then a other loan for armstrong, i kno rigg younger but feel his experience at sunderland puts him ahead of armstrong. Doucoure would just be one more year reduced wage and id sign gana to 2instead of going for Soucek we could bring in another rangy box to box midfielder from our academy called Harrison Armstrong for no fee and on minimal wages
we have Gana, Garner and Iroegbunam and hopefully Alcaraz who can all play there too. We could also possibly sing Doucoure on much lower wages which the reports suggest he's possibly open too.
if Soucek was on a free I'd say it was a good signing but not for a fee
this is the kind of transfer that has financially crippled us and left us with a squad of aging and finished players that we cant shift
Coufal, because he's a free agent, is one I'd be more inclined to go with, even though Soucek is a better player
However, I'd rahter we looked at one of, if not both Tariq Lamptey and/or Kyle walker Peters who are younger, more versatile, faster, and I think, better players
Probably on lower wages too
Sandro Ramirez was the poster boy for bad everton signings for about 3 years.Henry Onyekuru was peak.
To the non Evertonian I would disagree, in the modern Premier League players lifetime we are not a big deal.I disagree. We still have the ability to sign good players and we are certainly more attractive than Bournemouth, Brentford, Palace, West Ham. We just have to make a statement signing or two and hopefully a few others get on board.

We spent 35m on Moise Kean, 34m on Alex Iwobi. We only paid 6 million for Sandro and 8 for Onyekuru. On the other hand we paid 45 million for a 28-year old Sigurdsson, 20 million for 28-year old Walcott, 20 million for 29-year old Allan. Club spent on fees and wages at least 130 million on those three players and got exactly 0 pounds back in transfer fees.
We spent 20m on Doucs, we wont get a penny back for him.We got our money back on Kean. Iwobi was not 34 million, closer to 25 and we lost about 4 million on him simply because we were forced to sell.
