summer transfers

All the above back up stuff changes if any of the young lads currently here are judged ready enough by Roberto though as he has a great track record of judging when a players developed enough to handle the step up

Midfield:

I'd like to see Gibson leave. Get Barry in, provided his wage demands aren't delusional, along with De Guzman or Defour.

Pienaar to leave, replaced by one of Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Chadli or Tadic. Someone is going to leave Spurs this summer, particularly if they miss out on Europe.

Would love to see either Lallana or Belhanda come to us: maybe Europa League qualification makes one of these happen?

Up front:

Lukaku. He's a known quantity, with plenty of prem experience and he's still so young.

If not him then Benteke, provided he gets the all-clear after his injury is dealt with. I'd consider Bony ONLY if he contracted not to participate in the ACON.

Mate, seriously see Gibson leave? Are you for real? If Barry doesnt sign then he is ready made for that role, plus with Europe looking a real possibility now, we will surely need a bigger squad with more depth.

As for your other picks, apart from Eriksen, those other Spurs players provide nothing we dont have already in terms of quality - Lallana and Belhanda would be great, I too have them in my Everton team on Champ manager.

Bony - in a heartbeat, should have gone for him in the summer. Benteke done same injury as the Yak. Big question mark over him when he returns.

You're missing the point: How many games has Gibson actually played in his time on our payroll? Not anywhere near enough. With European qualification comes MORE games - we have no room in the squad, nor the finances, to carry passengers for months at a time. I don't doubt his ability when fit - but he's just not fit often enough. There is no point paying a wage to someone who is not available for selection. He has to go.

Sigurdsson would be an upgrade over Pienaar as an advanced left midfielder in the system Martinez has installed, so would Chadli. Agree that Eriksen is better than both of them though.

Hopefully we get Lukaku, so Bony becomes a moot point.

Tadic would be the single biggest upgrade we could make over the current team mate, would sort out that left spot instantly meaning osman can go out the starting team finally

A front four consisting of Lukaku, Barkley, Miralles and Tadic would be frightening to play against

I think Tadic would be a cracking signing and not only cos he's quality but because he's versatile and can play anywhere across the attacking midfield spots, aswell as deeper at a push.

No chance, but...

Moisander
.
Barry.
Carlos "Gullit" Pena.
Tadic.
Timo Werner.
Otavio.
Lukaku.
Alfred "Fingerbanger" Finnbogason.
Domenico Berardi.
Alex Maxim.

I wouldn't mind having a go at Chicharito, I think he would be a perfect upgrade in a Naismith type role.

Tempting I agree. But I think Naisy is faster, tougher, smarter and cheaper. I am amazed at how he has progressed since leaving Scotland.

I think we should keep an eye on Tottenham who will be shedding some wage earners. Sigurdsson and Chadli are both very good players who have not had much chance to establish themselves.

I'd love to see Hernandez here. I reckon he'd work well with Lukaku (as financially unfeasible as having those two players at once is, like).
