summer transfers

Im not missing any point mate, he's played quite a few games to be fair, only not played this season due to injury and i suspect he would've been an integral part - crying out for him on nights like the palace game and when Barry is ineligble v City as opposed to playing Barkley too deep or Ozzie to a lesser extent for that matter.

I understand that to you he's probably an unfashionable player but there is no way on God's green one that we should get rid.

You are missing the point. He's been with us for two years and four months, of which he's been out injured for forty-six weeks... and counting. It's there to see on the web: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/darron-gibson/profil/spieler_42413.html

I
agree we could have used him against Palace, and we could have used him in a bunch of other games this season. But he's been injured for just over 40% of his Everton career. For that reason, he should go.

And please don't try to imply that anyone that doesn't want to keep him somehow is only interested in "fashionable" players. It's pretty childish to take such an approach.

Why? He does a job and does it better than most in his position, would be a bit dense on our part to sell him and get someone else in as a squad player.

He's shown a consistent inability to remain fit enough to play. Don't see the point in continuing to pay a wage to someone who cannot be relied upon to contribute.

Can't agree with any of this. Do we let Hibbert go, because we don't seem to play him at all? Joel doesn't play much. We have Baines so we clearly don't need Oviedo. Can't be relying on any of them to contribute when we have other players for their positions.

His consistent inability to remain fit is greatly exaggerated due to him having one major injury where he has been out for bloody ages. The other injuries are part and parcel of a player playing regularly.

How often have you seen him play?

I must admit I haven't seen him regular, odd games here and there on espn, in Europa and for Serbia against Ireland not so long ago, but mainly on highlights from Eredivisie and he's always at the Hub of everything good Twente do and played really well for Serbia against Ireland in the No.10 role.

But I follow people on twitter to do with foreign leagues and they put stats up and Tadic as got brilliant stats season in, season out for chances created and assists.

Serbians will become increasingly hot property over the next few years in my opinion. Their NT had an ageing squad during the qualifiers but they are starting to address that.

Yugoslavia produced some quality players back in the day. Croatia recovered the quickest football wise after the separation, but I'm predicting Serbia will have their turn soon.

Stocking up on a few before it happens could be bold. His mate Kostic at Groningen is having a great season in his own right.
