He can unlock the tightest of defences with his great eye for a pass, speed of thought and vision and he's the kind of player that would of made a huge difference for us in games such as Palace midweek and other tight affairs.

Even though he can play wide, I think he's more suited to the No.10 role due to his passing range, vision and creativity and I know we have Barkley for there but both players are different but very good in there own right.

Tadic would be a cracking signing and at a decent fee for this day and age, £10-12m possibly?!

You're missing the point: How many games has Gibson actually played in his time on our payroll? Not anywhere near enough. With European qualification comes MORE games - we have no room in the squad, nor the finances, to carry passengers for months at a time. I don't doubt his ability when fit - but he's just not fit often enough. There is no point paying a wage to someone who is not available for selection. He has to go.

Sigurdsson would be an upgrade over Pienaar as an advanced left midfielder in the system Martinez has installed, so would Chadli. Agree that Eriksen is better than both of them though.

Hopefully we get Lukaku, so Bony becomes a moot point.

Im not missing any point mate, he's played quite a few games to be fair, only not played this season due to injury and i suspect he would've been an integral part - crying out for him on nights like the palace game and when Barry is ineligble v City as opposed to playing Barkley too deep or Ozzie to a lesser extent for that matter.

I understand that to you he's probably an unfashionable player but there is no way on God's green one that we should get rid.

He's just that affordable dream signing for me tbh, one of thos players that has everything to suit the Martinez system plus is a clear improvement in creativity over anything we have atm, guy would become a huge favourite with the crowd

Gets in goalscoring positions better than Osman doesn't lose the ball stupidly, technically better than Pienaar and with the ability and pace to beat a man regularly that neither of those has, just a massive addition and the thought of him and kev each wing with Ross in the middle would terrify defenders tbh mate

Personally think he'd bring the best out in Baines as well, imagine Pienaar with pace and who has a final end product

Fact that @Dutch Toffee rated him at the time a better player than Erickson was a big sign for me to start checking him out ;p
