I think we'll have a busy summer (I know, stop sniggering) and we'll get maybe 3 really good signings that lift and refresh the core of the team. Add in 3 or 4 loans and promoting a few of the youth players that have been making the bench and we'll have the squad to give europe a proper go.

Kevin De Bruyne since he moved to Wolfsburg - 1 goal and 6 assists in 14 games, 18m was a high price but god he was exactly the type of player we needed tbh, oh for a rich benefactor
 
Here's a few interesting players who are going on a free in the summer;

Bafetimbi Gomis - or 'Baby Drogba' according to Wiki even though he's 28. Scored 62 in 172 games for Lyon, looks like the type of player that Martinez likes up front.

Mame Biram Diouf - has scored 25 in 57 since he left the premiership for Germany (Hannover) which is a pretty good record given that they're a bottom half of the table side.

Jeremy Menez - tricky, quick, skillful, a very good winger who I'd love to see arrive at the club.

Redmond looks to have potential but his end product has been underwhelming - not many goals or assists this season. I also wonder if Fer might turn us down, considering the hash we made of attempting to sign him last tim?

Don't want Welbeck anywhere near our club. Especially not for any sort of actual money.

Bony I am warming to. There's the one-season wonder risk and the fact that he'll go on ACON walkabout every so often, but he's younger and less rapey than Remy. In my mind, it's Bony or Benteke to go along with Lukaku, but we have to get rid of Kone and Traore to free up wage space if we want to bring in two strikers.

Barry.... as good as he's been this year, age makes you slower and some players lose their pace almost overnight. I have a nagging worry that Barry is on the cliff edge. I don't want him AND Gibson in the squad, because that's too much risk at one position. Keep one or the other and bring in De Guzman and one of Cork or Colback or Cleverly.

Traore - I've seen nothing of him. I can't decide if he's worth keeping or not, because he's played what, thirty minutes for us?

Del - No brainer. Definite keep. Allows Mirallas and McGeady to play on the left, which means we can replace Pienaar, and he shows outrageous promise.

CDM on loan - see Barry above. Or maybe Baines moves to CDM, if Garbutt is judged to be ready to back up Oviedo? I would love to see some of our squad depth issues solved by some of our youth players coming through.

CB - Alcaraz has to go. Distin, Jags and Stones are a great trio, although Distin and Jags may not have all that much longer left to play at prem level. If Duffy is ready, then he comes in to replace Alcaraz. If he isn't then he stays out on loan, Alcaraz goes and we bring in another CB. However, CB is a position where Man U might be looking to sign three or four players this summer, so the market price is going to inflate at that position.
