I really want Tadic, and it sounds like the majority of Evertonians do as well. But Hatem Ben Arfa is a very similar players in terms of position, playing style, and quality. I have a strong feeling he could be available for a cheaper price than Tadic, so would be a great alternative to look at.

I'd really like him aswell as i think he's class but listening to Martinez at that fans thing the other day, he said he wouldnt bring in players in positions where it was going to hinder, stunt the growth of a young player that plays in the same position, i.e. Barkley for instance.

But this lad for me could easily play down the right and cut inside and be an influence that way.

Also, and Dutch Toffee might be able to share some light on this, some or most of the Twente playing staff are owned by a firm or something now and there the ones that negotiate the fees for Twente players and could possibly ask for silly money?!

We should be targeting them mate, atm they have a lot of good young players coming through much like Belgium did a few years back, Markovic at Benfica is amazingly good and a few big European teams have brought in 2-3 serbs at once over the last year or so

Tadic is best imo playing on the left of a attacking spot mate, but he can play all three attacking mid spots so provides a great cover for barkley and allows to swap around with Kev as well, one thing Martinez likes to do from looking at this season is to have his wide men comfortable on playing all rotating around during a game through all three positions, in fact Barkley kinda looks his best when he is given the freedom to roam a bit with the others moving around based on where he is going

A brief look up on Tadic mate, he has the same agent as Kolarov and a host of other Serbian players do, don't remember their being any third party ownership with Kolarov so seems unlikely

Dont think we'll be in for him anyway. Martinez at the fans session got asked if Rom was worth £20m and he said yes and that he wanted him back at us next season so Lukaku is definitely going to be Bobby's No.1 target this summer.

Also said Kone was going to show his worth aswell and that he'd been unlucky with injury this season, an injury that could of put an end to his career.

He also said that he and Kenwright know that we need 6 or 7 players to fill out the squad next season to live with the demands on the domestic and European front and that those 6 to 7 players will consist of players brought in and youngsters, so he's not necessarily going to sign 6 to 7 new players, he'll sign some, Lukaku maybe, Barry, Deulofeu and Troare on loan is my guess, maybe one or 2 more loans and then the rest will be promoted youngsters?!

We actually got linked to Seydou Keita a bit ago on a free. 34 yes, but for a season to help us out, i would, same with Cambiasso really. Colback looks a good shout. Gomis and Diouf i would take, Briand isnt bad, neither is Aaron Hunt.

Their was a huge amount of speculation about him in the summer mate - being honest its how i know his name more than watching him - which has only been in eufa and the porto games this year.

Something like Cheslea originally intended to buy him and then loan him to Benfica for two years was reported and then that changed last minute to Benfica bought him outright, but Chelsea allowed it to be done but with a proviso that he had a buyout option in his contract for them alone, all sounds dodgy as hell and don't know what to believe really

Either way he will be priced out of any attention from us as he has looked fantastic this season especially in the big games and will end up being a big transfer somewhere i reckon -15-20m

The more I look at Tadic the more I think he's a steal for anything under £10m.



Just sat and watched about half hour of youtube clips, and you can tell when a lad has class.

As much as Id love it to happen ive got the feeling that Martinez wont get Tadic in. I think he will probably pick up a cheaper option as I think he is trying to keep the bulk of his cash for Lukaku which will be after the WC. Tadic will be snapped up before then

Mate i've probably been the most vocal advocate for Tadic on here - probably annoying a lot with the amount i go on about him no doubt, but i think the chances our we will miss out due to what you said and he will end up going to Dortmund, Spurs, Porto or Athletico etc, which will prove to be a case of one that got away that was affordable and offered exactly what we need

Hmmm, maybe then. But i did read that some firm as took over the rights of most Twente players and it's down to them what the players get sold for, so you dont know what silly money they'll want, but i do remember we was signing Fer for £8.6m and it didnt happen then come the summer he went to Norwich for less than half, so you never know?!

I'd love Tadic tbf, im certain Martinez probably rates him too as he looks the kind of player he would like in his team, someone who's class, creative, unselfish and gets goals, a player that would really improve us in an attacking sense, but can we afford him and Lukaku? i'm not sure.

I think cos Martinez desperately wants Rom, i dont think we'll make another signing in the excess of £8-10m, aswell as give Barry a deal and make some loan signings. I know Tadic as a year left on his current deal but i dont think he'll go cheap. He's easily one of, if not the best player in Holland right now and look at Eriksen, he was in a similar situation at Ajax and Spurs got him for £11m was it?
