Ba is a good player, good on the ball, strong, good link up player but the cons are his age and the price but he still a good player.

Thing is mate i want to see players of an age that they will grow after arriving as the team grows, honestly its the only way we will crack the top 4 permanently, have a team just below that level that as it matures smashes that 'glass ceiling' to bits, look at the effect of the Fergie babes generation when they matured at united, ensured a dominance that lasted more than a decade, same in the way Kendall built the mid 80's team, bought the likes of Sharp, Steven, Sheedy all young and as they developed and matured we went through the roof

yeah wouldn't pay 10 million for him either, I would pay 20 million for Lukaku to go with McCarthy, Barkley, Stones

Presumably Ba will go somewhere but I think it's a case of the press seizing on Kenwrights quote about us initially being in for Ba when we got Rom and then assuming we'll be interested in the summer. Tbh would take him as back up for a few mill but not as our main striker. Lukaku, Ba, Kone and Naismith would give us good options!

Hopefully Bobby uncovers a couple of immense 20 year old Spanish strikers who bang 50 goals in next year as we win the Europa league!

I hope we get him for 15-20m mate, atm though i actually would pay what it takes to obtain him, think it's the biggest transfer decision for us in many many years now and one we have to get. Hell i'd even give up my dream of Tadic to get him ;/

To be honest i only want to see one player over 27 come in and that'd just be for europe. I want all our other signings to be max age of 25.

Barry basically on a perm I'd be happy with, and a covering loan player of quality such as Barry was this season would be another, so 2 for me would be fine

Twente have financial problems meaning they have to sell players in the summer mate, and Tadic contract runs to 2015 so entering the last year shortly too

On transfermarkt.de it says contract until 2015 with a club option for a two year extension. I don't know which is true, but if the latter than he'd cost significantly more I fear. :/

He will get sold this year mate and it will be for between 8-12m maximum

Ba and Kone up front would be a disgrace.

If theres 20mil odd there for lukaku and we cant get him then we should spend it on an equally talented player.

Excluding mccarthy the signings on permanents have been a waste of money. Time to step it up a level.

If we can't get Del Boy back on loan for whatever reason and Lacina Traore stays put at Monaco, here's an idea.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Marie_Dongou

Jean Dongou, he's just turned 19 and he seems like Bobby's kind of striker. Saying that, I've never seen him play, but he's big.
Only just turned 19 though, maybe next year if we can't do it this summer.
(Really though, how lucky we could be if we became a permanent outpost for Barcelona!)

Hes short with poor goalscoring record.

According to this report Sporting are unhappy at our interest in signing Eric Dier, hopefully so, would be an ideal long term CB partner for Stones, unfortunately the £16m buy out clause quoted is prob more than we will want to spend this summer on a defender and more than he's worth at this point, maybe able to get him for less next year when he has one year left on his deal.

http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...ver-england-u21-leads-club-to-worry-about-fut

Sporting Lisbon are concerned about the future of their young Englishman Eric Dier. The versatile defensive player is still just 20 years old and has been attracting attention from clubs in the Premier League who would be able to offer him a salary far higher than what he currently receives with Sporting.

Dier will no doubt be aware of the disparity in wages between the Portuguese and English divisions when he meets up with the England U21 squad. Young homegrown talents here are often overpaid as demand outstrips supply.

Sporting had been relaxed about Dier's contract situation. His current deal run until June 2016 and they have no plans to change that anytime soon, not thinking they needed to. However, the interest and 'harassment' of Premier League clubs, with Everton specifically named, has changed things for Sporting.

The Portuguese club are worried that Dier's buyout clause is only €20m, a sum they don't think would be too scary for interested clubs if Dier continues his development. Therefore, a new contract and a higher clause is being prepared. Sporting will just have to hope that Dier agrees.
