...he was awful for most of last season, it’ll be interesting to see what happens now with the new acquisitions. I might be wrong, but Sigurdsson seemed to play deeper in last weekends friendly. Logic suggests he won’t get as much game time this season.
 
My best guess is we are going:

Coleman Mina Keane Digne
James Allan Doucoure Bernard (or Gordon)
DCL Richarlison

but when we have the ball it will look more like

No need to rush Hameth in there, last thing we need is him being chucked in and copping an injury. I have a good feeling Bernard could flourish with some actual footballers around him.
 
Siggy / Pickford ..... both start ..... Pressure is ON for them to perform. Hope they rise to the occasion / opportunity.
 
I get frustrated when football players get lazy and comfortable in their positions due to lack of squad competition. I never thought I would see local lads like Davies half pressing etc as they know they will in the team each week however poorly the perform. When guys like Allan and James turn up it will rightly or wrongly have a knock on effect. Im interested to see how the squad mentality changes now and the level of individual performance.

Mina and Gomes need to build up game time * if we throw them in, the chance they will get injured is too high. Probably same with Coleman.

Same with James and Allan starting.

Siggi and Skatie could be getting some of their last starts here, please God.
