It's hard to view that side as anything other than Moyes reverting to form and being over-cautious.

We'll probably win but it really dropping a player after a good performance yet again just because he's 19 years old and clearly not one of his favourites is poor.

Errr....thanks, I think.

You're welcome :) But seriously, why would i have been taking the piss with my post, as pointed out its hardly playing a Neville/Heitinga midfield of doom to bring a proven experienced player like Osman in for a young player still being blooded into the first team.

because he has been utterly grim for months, it was a pleasure to see a midfield without him 'ghosting' around the other night

Yeah he has, but like i said before, i'm hoping that sitting out Tuesdays game will have done him good and he comes back with a good performance.

Or maybe he won't and he'll stink but Moyes will play him till the end anyway cause he loves him but i don't see the problem in starting with him.

Oh and by the way, yes i do feel incredibly dirty for sticking up for a Moyes team selection, i'll be turning into Goat before i know it.

I thought the midfield looked better with 3 athletic strong players there, the amount of ground Fellaini covers in that position is unreal compared to Osman, unless Barklay has a knock then I don't see that as being the right thing for him either. In short I don't like playing our best midfielder out of position, and thought we looked stronger without an out of form Osman in the side. I agree though its hardly the worst midfield moyes has put out

This is our third match in a week, and Osman didn't play against Arsenal. It's good that he's starting.

I like having barkley as an impact sub in case we have a hard time breaking them down. Now it remains to be seen if he will be used in that way by Moyes...

Whereas I agree with what you're saying, I've very rarely seen you defend Moyes' decisions before now. Bit of a shock to the system is all. It's a team good enough to win and points are the most important thing to us right now. It's also not a given Barkley won't get some more minutes today.
