Goodison has been terrible for years now, Somthing changed in the latter years of Moyes. Whether it was the fans finally breaking and giving up after years of crap or the penny finally dropping that things weren't going to get better for a long time (if ever) is difficult to say but things have certainly not been the same since. I really do think a singing section is the answer at this stage, yes it would be an embarrassment thay we've had to resort to that but I'd rather be embarrassed while some of us at least sang and created a positive atmosphere to support lads then be embarrassed while sitting in silence with only the away fans and the occasional shout of abuse at our own players to be heard!
Thanks mush. I read a lot of replies ridding themselves of blame and saying it is the Football standard instead. If that is the case then why do the lower league lads (like us!) sing and back the team? The Football is terrible the further down you go but there are still lots of good lads turning up week in week out and giving a push to their team.

Or maybe the lads who have stopped caring like some on here retire to the pub where they can sit in silence and peace! Get behind your boys and help them give more for the cause!

Atmosphere is crap, too many statos, FIFA quoting middle class numptys, stating how unstrategic it is to call schniderlin a slimy bottler, they also won't join in a song as they are worried about being caught on face book without pouting, but that's just the Park End library with protective sound proof net to ensure the sleepers aren't disturbed...

Are you old enough to remember when Brum were top flight Regulars? I used to like them in the 70’s (mostly because you sold my Hero Bob Latchford to us), but also because I liked Bob Hatton, Trevor Francis, Howard Kendall (of course), Kenny Burns, Gordon Taylor and your centre half Pendrey (Gerry i think).

With all due respect mate, I've seen enough of St Andrews in the last couple of years to know that the atmosphere is durge at your place a lot of the time to. Better then ours? Maybe but that's not saying much. Its all about who goes though imo. In the 90's when we were terrible, way worse then we are now we had a vastly superior atmosphere. I think adversity creates better support. Some of the hangers on stop going and those that remain are more determined to support the side through the bad times. Out of interest how much do you lot pay for your season ticket and match tickets? Only asking because it's my belief that cheaper tickets would mean less sense of entitlement from fans, I feel a lot of working class fans have been priced out of going the match who would give the side much better support then some hangers-on do. You need only look at Germany for that dirt cheep tickets and boss atmosphere.

In all fairness mate, a lot of us do try but It gets very depressing trying to start songs and only getting tutting and dirty looks for your trouble.

Pendo was a cracking centre half mush! Lots of good players back then in the last seventies an exciting time. We were competitive on and off the pitch and I enjoyed those times maybe better than all the rest.

Who is giving you dirty looks when you try to sing mush? I pay 350 for my seaso. How are Everton’s ticket prices compared to the rest of the Prem? Are they expensive so you get middle class lads who don’t sing?
