Wow. Just got in. BBC says we had 30 shots, 19 of them on target. Did we batter them ?

It was really open. We attacked from the off and created loads of openings but everything went straight at Vorm. They came in to it more and probably had about 10 shots on target themselves. Our defence was a big worry. We were cut to ribbons by simple moves on several occasions but Swansea couldn't force the ball home. I thought Moyes might take the 2-0 at half-time and drop Fellaini back to shore things up or put Distin on and push Heitinga into midfield.

Anichebe did well but too often he laid the ball off rather than rolling his man and getting a shot away. And he came too deep looking for the ball instead of staying in position to offer us a target. Both Vic and Fellaini missed sitters and it wouldn't have flattered us if we'd scored more.

Coleman looked pretty good at right back and Naismith slotted in very well when he came on. Heitinga was fairly average and there wasn't enough time to judge Oviedo.

They had 11 attempts when the red card went. They caught us on the counter at times, and at times our CBs were very poor. Otherwise, we pretty much bossed the game in the midfield and we made their back 4 look amateurish.

That "situation" happened 3 times but the game I was watching had 1 corner conceded, one goal sprung, and Howard played out the header back..

It was unnecessary. I'm not sure whether he's not really switched on or whether he's seeing the quality of football higher up the pitch and showboating a bit himself. All we need him to do is protect the defence and break play up and I don't think he did that terribly well.

Thats cos their back 4 is amateurish, League One standard at best.

I think Osman is playing in the position he should be, unfortunately not with the partner to let him do what he does best. Neville has the tendency to lose out on tackles and lose possession due to his lack of pace and sometimes poor first touch so Osman always has to have one eye on him. I think when Gibson is back, if Osman starts next to him, his performances will get better.

Moyes could have switched Osman and Fellaini at half-time to try and make sure that it didn't get to 2-1. I thought it was a bit too cavalier of him to carry on as we were and not to try and see out the game.

Thought it was fine. "Cavalier" is a good word for Fellaini when he plays a more defensive role. One of Howard's low saves was down to Fellaini completely switching off.

I thought he was pretty awful today too. On the edge of our box and with loads of time to play the ball into midfield he tries lobbing it to Coleman and concedes an unnecessary corner. And in a similar situation he tries to head back to Howard and gives away another set piece. We also looked really exposed defensively and it was only Swansea's woeful inability to find the net that stopped us throwing the game away.

That wasn't Neviles fault. He telegraphed the lob to Coleman who was switched off again in defence. Mirallas got Coleman out of trouble lots of times today. Coleman is NOT a Premiership right back.

He wasn't switched off, just wasn't expecting such a horrible ball. No one should expect a ball like that. No one would have gotten to that.

Having said that, Neville was fine, players make mistakes, he did his job well enough and started the attack on the Mirallas goal.
