Not sure thats true, it’s a family game but the fans get crazy. Isnt like that at the rugby either. It’s something about football fans. The soft players and weak fouls are a symptom of an increase in skill. I mean, look at the state of these ultra light pink boots they all wear. Hahaha.
Oh swerve with the rugby fans, football lives rent free in their heads. They can’t wait to put the oar in.

The skill leading to more fouls is nonsense. You get a foul for standing in front of the goalie, you get a foul for jumping too high, you get a foul for getting the ball now most of the time. You can thank Arsene for the start of the ‘protect the skillfull players’ crap.

The pink boots is the biggest red herring there

Far worse words (and noises) in the songs 40 years ago. Times change, and rightly so. But can’t ever see clubs scouring cctv to see who called the referee rude word.

My lad used to find it funny when first heard the sweary songs as we dont swear at home. Didn’t mean he started effing and jeffing all over the place.

There are some wonderful Welsh cuss words and phrases, but I fear you may dislocate your eyes trying to read them and figuring out how to pronounce them properly.
Lol... Probably mate.

They need to have a bit of venom in the pronunciation to effectively hit home and make a point.

I'll leave this here, though...

For anyone looking to learn how to cuss in a fun language! 😜

Anyone remember the words Football fans put in to Jim Reeve's song Distant Drums in the late 1960s - every club sang it - it came over loud & clear on MOTD etc - Four cakes for fourpence was in it - a catchy tune

I hear the sound of distant bums -

over there - over there
& do the smell like cooking hell

20, 000 fans singing that behind the goal, it came out really loud ..... :D
