Takeover bid by Peter Kenyon

The echo reporting that talks about financing the ground turned into full blown takeover talks by those interested parties - I believe Goldman Sachs were involved in the talks of financing of the ground investment.

That's my concern..... Real estate. It seems to be their focus. Can understand it as investors....

But where is their REAL interest.... Not sure its us. The people's club.

That's exactly what Moshiri / Usmanov were doing the stadium build for in it's location - for future develop and opportunities for themselves and friends.

Some of these fans dont understand what is heading their way.

Reality will hit them hard over the coming years if this lot get keys to Goodison.

Be marches in their thousands when its all too late.

RIP

With respect under Moshiri we have..

Had rising ticket prices
Poor football operations
No communication
No improvement off the pitch
Fans an afterthought in almost all decisions
Break FFP regulations
Sell all our top players
Start a stadium build on a credit card by the look of things.

What exactly can these guys do worse?

These are simply all facts.

What? We’re further away from being anything remotely resembling a competent football club let alone one that wins things, than we ever have been in my life. And no, spending £45m on Gylfi Sigurdsson didn’t give me hope.

Out of the frying pan into the fire springs to mind Mike. You would agree (whether it worked or not is a different story) Moshiri tried to bankroll us? Didn't pick the most cost effective stadium and went for the option to give us maximum prestige. Found ways to increase revenues through sponsorships (who's paying us 5 million a year for our training ground now?).

If we get American owners we are going to be lumbered with debt, they aren't going to put their hands in to their own pockets to buy any players and it's not like we earn loads of money to offset that. There are at least 7 clubs in this league who if not have money to burn (Arsenal/Spurs) all have the resources to easily outbid and out manoeuvre us. Well run or not there will be a continuation of this with no chances to get out of the rut as players will always go for a club who plays or pushes for European football.

I wouldn’t agree with that no. I’d agree that Moshiri laundered Usmanov’s money through the club to bankroll us if you’d said that.

Isn't that Moshiri?
Not sure.

Don't know the man to judge if he's ego driven or more a side car (with steering wheel) driver.

Guessing given his role and background he's more the latter.

Regardless of our on pitch performance. Perhaps, finally we have clarity.

He's a money maker. Accountant. Loophole follower/ developer. He's cracked it.

He could have cracked it at the beginning with his onfield investment. His, being the operative word....

Either way, with BMD. He's cracked it either way.

Question is, where does that leave us.

Take away Usmanov and TV deal, our revenue is nigh on the same mate.

Farhad is going to lumber us with a 500m debt for the stadium.
