I honestly have up a long time ago worrying about things like where money comes from and how it is made. The world is a pooshow and it's only getting worse. Indeed. He obviously had decent business experience and can read and interpret p&L and balance sheets, but it was the introduction of his ITK persona that made many on here look towards him as a god, while for me he was just putting a personal interpretation on items and events. We have many talented finance people on here, many ex senior business people and no doubt some actual people who know things about the club, but we only had one who tried to speak with absolute certainty without the backup. I’d like to see him back on here, but of course he’s now risen to another plane and another group of followers…

It’s a good point and one of the reasons I think Boehly will be successful at Chelsea (he’s been part of a quality ownership setup with the LA Dodgers). FSG had the previous experience of rejuvenating the Red Sox.

It's faceless or rather there's a lot more than just the one feller they've thrown forward as "proprietor" of day to day operations. It's what stopped it in the first place (although the barcodes will say it was the corrupt league). PIFs governor is now the non-exec of Newcastle, while the Saudi Prince is the chairman of the fund...which is how they've got round it being "not run by the state" (which is complete balls).

They'll spend. They'll do it slowly and above board like City do. Possibly not to their levels.
