Doubt Maddock has a clue.

For a start he claimed that Thornton is a mining billionaire when he isn't he's a millionaire who ran a mining company worth billions...
In September 2021, George Soros, Hungarian-Born American investor and philanthropist, criticized Thornton in a The Wall Street Journal opinion editorial, saying that Thornton's work to funnel U.S. investment dollars to China "imperils the national security interests of the U.S. and other democracies because the money invested in China will help prop up President Xi's regime, which is repressive at home and aggressive abroad"

He sounds great.

I haven't read everything but find it very bizarre that anyone can pour scorn over any future investor (be careful what you wish for, asset stripping bla bla)
when we have what we have.
Kenwright: Presided over the most unsuccessful period in Everton's history.
Moshiri: Failure to impliment a new board and a double failure in allowing the club to be run so badly and continuing to ignore the plight on and off the pitch.

Asset stripping? You're having a laugh right? Kenwright pawned everything. Moshiri's arrival allowed us to clear those debts to stabilise the club. But since
then we've spent an enormous amount without balancing the books and a continued failure as a club means we don't make enough. Add a small
expense of BMD there is no asset to strip it is all debt and expenditure.

Whoever comes in need to be vetted of course we don't want to make the same mistakes again but we're a club that does need change at the top
and to continue with the existing owner & board is to continue with abject failure.

An improvement on our current home & away form.

Your'e mad to be this blinkered.

THey have even asset stripped Burnley fgs and they do not have the likes of DCL,Rich,Pickford and Bramley moore. New owners could buy the club, put all the debt back on to the club and sell the assets and trouser the cash. Mosh, for all his faults has done the complete opposite. Like I said...be careful what you wish for. There is very common American busniess model all over the world where they buy companies, strip the assests and the companies fold. I am shocked you are so naive

No one is saying it WLL happen but it is a disctinct possibilty and certainly worse than what we have now
