You love a wind-up:)
It's not a wind up. It was as impressive as you get holding her nerve like that, especially when you consider she bottled it at Wimbledon.

I'm just saying she faced no one. I said she'd win in straight sets and she did.

But no way will she ever face no ranking player in a tournament again.

That said, women's tennis is as open as golf, and just about anyone can win a major.

Watching her game.. its really difficult to pick out any weaknesses. It's almost flawless.

Excellent service technique
Brilliant court coverage
Excellent ground strokes that can go toe to toe with anything else out there
Can hit winners off both sides
Can win points at the net when required
Superb shot selection, never plays something that you think is too silly or ambitious
Ice cool demenour, plays each point for itself whether its the first or last point of the match

It's impossible that she's peaked after just 2 majors, so she'll get even better, but she is already an absolute force of nature. Absolute superstar.

I think the fact it was in America actually helped her - the pressure will have been less without the media/crowd frenzy getting to her.

Murray may have been in similar situation when he won the US Open for this first time.

Yeah mate, that’s why no qualifier male or female has ever done that before. You literally have nothing nice to say about anything, it’s quite sad.

I have praised this player umpteen times already. I;m also pointing out that she's a player many different countries can lay claim to.

She's an ethnic minority and must have faced huge discrimination (or her family have) desite being outrageously rich.

I doff my cap to her achievements.

Do you watch much tennis?

Her achievement is without question but she's clearly not a patch (yet) on other recent champions let alone the likes of Serena Williams

Her opponents were beatable. None of them would have been a daunting match up for her. If she'd had Fernandez's half of the draw she wouldn't have come through it. But they are the breaks.

Her stats were almost a mirror image of Fernadez's. Just a few more double faults for Fernandez and a few more winners for Raducanu were the difference.
