All your chart underlines is that Djokovic has been more consistent in his career with less plateauing periods than Nadal and Federer. He doesn't dramatically "take off" after the others lose form.

Nadal

He plateaued during his peak years because the other two were better.
Nadal pounding his body into the ground meant pretty much he was Federer's age body wise.

Murray and Del Potro being made of cheesestrings too also plumped Djokovic's stats as they weren't around much when they should have been up there challenging. It's all there in black and white.

We're getting away from the issue here: he WILL be GOAT when he inevitably gets to 21 slam titles. He's got his 20 titles the same as the others by playing through the same era and facing each other. There's been no easy short cut to it.

I agree he will be the goat in your view or will have statistically the most slams.

Funny how trophy count all of a sudden matters to Davek when proclaiming someone the GOAT... meanwhile he will dismiss the same logic when applied to the Maradona v Messi debate.

In tennis (like basketball), I think it’s difficult to compare players from the different eras. Contemporary players have so many advantages when it comes to nutrition, fitness which have dramatically lengthened their careers.

Indeed, modern players would batter the greats of the past purely because of conditioning and improvements in sports science.

I can remember watching women's tennis (Wimbledon) on the news at the pictures (1940's no TV). It was like watching the tennis in Walton Hall Park. The rally's went on for ever as no one could hit it hard enough to win a point. Nearly all the points won were as a result of a mistake.

Nonsense. She stood there looking down and pointing at the trickle of blood for about 10 seconds. She could easily have stepped to her chair and wiped that off and carried on for the few more seconds required to see the game out. If the umpire "ordered" the stop it was in that context.

As said, it was a savvy bit of gamesmanship.

Disagree, sorry mate but I believe her, don't think she lying. But not worth arguing about.

They should do that in golf aswell. Have a retro tournament
I remember once at Muirfield back in 1980 or thereabouts the participants in the post tournament dinner - drink having been taken - broke out some old hickory clubs from the display cabinets and had a few blows around the 18th with them. The names Crenshaw and Watson come to mind. The Honourable Company were not best pleased!
