Would love to know what texts people get that need looking at while driving. All I get is 'don't forget my magazines'. Forget that.
seen two cyclists today on their phones. Caused absolute chaos whilst playing wordle. Veered across the road and nearly KOd a child. Disgraceful.
none, absolutely NONE are with the risk of killing someone elseWould love to know what texts people get that need looking at while driving. All I get is 'don't forget my magazines'. Forget that.
now there's a man I'd quite like to see trapped underneath a Range RoverJeremy Vine
In my case? Without shadow of a doubt. Which perhaps does not speak well about me.Would you argue that you are more capable of responsible thinking when drunk?
If I overtake someone or pull up alongside in traffic someone who is very clearly on their phone, I always visibly reach to my dash cam while glancing over at them when I’m in their view.Warwickshire and WMP share a lorry (well, the cab) that they drive down the motorway to be able to record people on their phones - they then get a NIP in the post.
The MET had/have people riding London buses doing the exact thing.
that a National Highways thing mate, they have six of them I believe that are shared around between all the cops. Ive seen them at a service station and got talking to them, amazing(ly bad) the things they've seen drivers do in the trucksWarwickshire and WMP share a lorry (well, the cab) that they drive down the motorway to be able to record people on their phones - they then get a NIP in the post.

I wonder how many of those 'Likes' even responses, came from the 'Drivers seats' !!!It’s not big and it’s not clever.
I’ve seen loads of people doing this over the past few weeks, more than usual.
It really really does my head in.
Just as bad as drunk driving if you ask me, which nobody did but I’m venting anyway.
PACK IT IN
If you sent the dash camera footage in with the registration clearly visible and the offence taking place, the police would act on it.If I overtake someone or pull up alongside in traffic someone who is very clearly on their phone, I always visibly reach to my dash cam while glancing over at them when I’m in their view.
Same as when I see someone driving like a div.
Hopefully they stress about it being sent to the police for a while so stop doing it.
I absolutely hate people on phones while driving.
Aye, it’s National Highways who ‘own’ the lorry/lorries, but WMP and Warwickshire were the forces who piloted the scheme. It’s now much further afield.that a National Highways thing mate, they have six of them I believe that are shared around between all the cops. This is actually one of the interesting aspects of driverless cars, which are increasingly being used on things like motorways. I've read various studies showing that the time it takes to regain focus on the road again is quite a few seconds, by which time obviously any poop that's hitting the fan such that your attention is required will have already made a pretty big mess.I mean I see it on the motorway too. Saw it only this morning on the M62.
