'And when they finally put you in the ground,
I'll stand there laughing and tramp the dirt down' (Elvis Costello)

Sums up my feelings towards the bitch

i believe you are younger than me.

what do you know of her reign?

I given this some thought Suits, you are about 28, born in 1979/80 ish when she came to power, went to senior school in about 1990/1991 when she went out of power so with all respect Cal will know as much as you do about her from history books and family, I lived through it.

And here in lies the answer, my parents and their parents suffered because of her anti-pathy for the city.

She's a human being so I wish her a recovery but I dont like her.

Each to their own like.

Go along with that. Dont like to wish ill health or death on a person but cant say im an admirer of her.

Dont want to get to political here but she turned the streets of our country (Ireland) and yours into a warzone by provoking the fantics on either side of the religous divide in Ireland, shes one of the most hated people over here of all time!

She will burn for thosands of years for the suffering she partly created.

unfortunately she lacked one thing that her successor possessed & that was a feel for the concerns of ordinary people. ironically, she even considered this capacity for empathy a critical weakness in john major's character & so turned against him - perhaps fearing what she was unable to comprehend.

I sometimes wonder if it was simply that she was female.

She was, and probably still is, a deeply unpleasant woman with delusions of grandeur. She had no social conscience and seemed to rejoice in the suffering of those that opposed her politically, socially and morally. She was patronizing to her cabinet and believed herself as good as a president. I can honestly say that I would rank her as one of the nastiest politicians this country had the misfortune to elect. And don't get me started in Norman Tebbit ...

And yet she was elected three times. Reminds me of a quote from an old Louisiana governor "Someday Louisiana is gonna get good government. And they ain't gonna like it."

Britain is now a service economy and was always going to be that way due to globalisation. It would have been the easiest thing in the world to prop up the non-competitive primary industries in Britain with tax payer money, thus costing both the tax payer and any customer that's forced to buy un-competitive products. Labour are famous for using this tactic in politically sensitive areas. Just look at Northern Rock.

She had no social conscience

Oh come now. Do you really believe any politician gives a monkeys about us? They may talk a good game but politicians are human, just like the rest of us. Human beings are conditioned to think about ourselves first and foremost. Look at all the pilfering that goes on with allowances on both sides of the house. If you're looking to politicians for moral guidance then you're looking in the wrong place. Power corrupts, and government has a whole lot of it.
