Regarding the monarchy, people should stop hating on a baby.

I like the monarchy for my own reasons, and anyone is allowed to not like them for their own reasons, I just wish people would stop being so mean about a baby just because he was born to who he was born to. (I'm talking, across the whole internet btw, not here)

Anyone being mean to a baby is a bit of a twunt. However there's a difference between that and objecting to the ridiculous levels of coverage the birth will be receiving in the press.

I'd like to see a political party in the UK that was:

- massively behind public services. With proper investment and an aversion to any form of privatisation
- not afraid to increase individual taxation but, at same time, recognises benefits of low corporation tax
- pro Europe
- no nonsense on crime & punishment (esp benefit fraud)
- anti monarchy & House of Lords

I'd like to see a political party in the UK that was:

- massively pro business, with appropriate investment in public services, provided by private companies
- not afraid to reduce personal taxation and not afraid to lower corporation taxes and only take the amount of tax actually needed and not what they can get away with
- pro Britain and trade with many countries
- no nonsense on crime & punishment (esp theft and GBH)
- not afraid to build a new Royal Yacht Britannia..........

Of course, but that is nor the baby's or the monarchy's fault. The media is a whole seperate thing, they like to tell you about who's had the latest affair, or who's been on holiday recently, what do people expect from the media?

The monarchy crave the attention as much as any celebrity as we saw on their wedding day and as we keep seeing with the slow-drip of baby photos.

@rascal snp is the 3rd biggest party in the uk and it's not on the poll!

You do know the population of England is 10 times that of Scotland?

The lib dems got more votes than the entire population of Scotland (5.5 million) in 2010.

2010 general election:
Lib Dems won 6,836,248 votes, a vote-share of 23.0%, with 57 MPs elected

So thats drivel.

On a population basis 45% of 5.5 million is 2.47 million.

The lib dems would have to get < 12.5% of the vote to be smaller than the SNP

The SNP are devisive and liars.

They are only interested in separating people not uniting people.

For Alex Salmond to claim that anyone is renaging on anything THREE DAYS after a vote is ridiculous. You cannot rewrite the UK constitution inside of three days.

The SNP are morally bereft

Salmond trying to rewrite the vote. He lost.

He lost the vote but has won the argument.

Let's close the Scottish, Welsh and N. Irish assemblies/parliaments, keep Westminster as the UK Parliament and devolve power across the UK to regional assemblies.

I don't think he won anything. The people decided.

The politcians will follow suit. Some powers will be devolved like taxation.

This then destroys any reason for existence of the SNP. Or made up grievances against 80% of uk population by the SNP.

Why close the Welsh assembly then create another regional assembly? I'm guessing Wales would still be one of the regions.

Sadly inertia ruled the day, the huge amount of negative and self-interested propaganda by all the Westminster-centric parties scared the undecided into voting for no change.

He won the argument as time will tell, but not the mandate..

Look, I could debate with you all night about SNP and independence, but the time to do that was last week. I said SNP is larger than the Lib dems because, bluntly, it is (as of today). We've overtaken them on membership count and you can be sure we'll have more seats than them in 9 months time in Westminster.
