It's not the first time she's done this, she was easily taken apart by Andrew Neil a few weeks ago.

It's typical of the Green party - promising the world without understanding how they'll pay for their promises. The fact that some people take them seriously astounds me - they're even more ludicrous than UKIP.
Yeah I saw that when @Bruce Wayne linked it last week mate. Such a shame really as they're the only party that opposes austerity but they seem to just propose policies that they think will be popular without thinking them through. I can't wait for this magical fully costed manifesto. When I look at their policies I think "there's a party that aligns with my political outlook" but when you break through the veneer they appear to have the organisation of Everton's back four before Stones came back

Maybe it's for the best if they're left out of the TV debates for their own sake. Car crash radio that. Very little research done into one of their major policies. She said she was full of cold though and your brain can get foggy when you get a cold sometimes. I hope that's the case, if not that's shocking.

They're not fit for office but they would drive a Labour-led government to the left and that is better than leaving them to bum the centre again.

And can you offer me your in-depth knowledge of their policies on: education, defence, welfare, the environment, public spending...?

Mate, UKIP would come down just as harshly on the disabled. I don't know anyone who would do the jobs that I see most un-skilled foreigners doing. We could do with more people in the UK with their attitude.

I have read their manifesto and most policies look good to me bar one or two? They may very well treat the vulnerable in this country with a sharp stick, they may very well be a sell serving party but as it is only two realistic parties have had chance after chance and repeatedly behaved in a way that makes them unvoteable. I would rather give a party a chance to shaft me than allow a party to shaft me again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me...

The truth is politics in this country is a farce. We are living in a sad faux democracy.

you could easily have made that post in 1930's Germany if the Internet was around

People were frustrated with the ineffective And weak Weimar government and believed that a party who promised to restore their country to its former glory couldn't be any less of a risk and may shake up the political system to the benefit of the country as a whole.

Not sure you can compare them to Hitler any more than you can compare Syreza to Stalin (ie not at all). I'm no fan of either UKIP or Syreza, but those two tyrants were utter barbarians of the highest order.

They're just a protest vote for people who think green issues should feature higher on the government's agenda or that Labour need dragging back towards the left or both. Rather like UKIP on the "other side", nobody with more than a couple of functioning braincells thinks they're capable of forming a competent government, do they?

Neither of those two interviews would've happened to Caroline Lucas .

What's the situation with her nationality? I know Arnie couldn't be president in America for instance, would Bennett be able to serve in the cabinet on account of being Australian? Guessing it's not an issue or she wouldn't be where she is.

Turns out it's ok as she's from the Commonwealth. Arnie wouldn't have any more luck here than in America though it would seem.

What I don't get with the LBC/Daily Politics interviews is that they seemed to be discussing firm policies despite there being no apparent understanding of how they'll be funded (as that isn't being published until next month).

Surely it's more sensible to see what money you have available before you start spending it?

I didn't compare the parties though mate. I just stated that the post could have been made in 1930's Germany
