You might be right, but Scotland would never forgive the SNP for allowing the Tories back in, even by not supporting a Labour policy they might disagree with.
But all it would mean is there would be another election which Labour might win, so they could say they weren't letting the tories back in at all.

I highly doubt a minority gov would fail a vote of confidence to then go on to win the recalled election.
