I haven't read up on it so I'm not sure what type of jobs they are or what they pay. My question would be why there are so many who can't find work.

The Populus poll tomorrow will be a good indicator. They've shown Lab leads consistently, if the Tories edge ahead tomorrow then you can point to a obvious shift based on several polls.
