Don’t know about that. Would rather Richmond win but good to see them brought down a peg. You must have been happy with that game. Pies going well at the moment.
Early days yet though. The covid cases going through the camp, have already burst the bubble a bit.

As well as Vossy and Jack Martin, two other unnamed Carlton personal have also tested positive for covid. Sadly i still see Richmond finishing in the top eight unfortunately. However that will keep the ferals from Punt Road quiet for now!

Geelong have smashed Essendon by 138 to the Bombers 72.lol The Swans beat the GWS Giants in the Sydney derby by 141 to 106 as well.

There's no point only just putting up highlights of Carlton games, otherwise this thread may as well be renamed the Carlton thread.

Melbourne v Western Bulldogs

St Kilda v Collingwood

Geelong v Essendon

GWS Giants v Sydney Swans

I have more round one highlights. I think what i'll do from here onwards, is wait for the AFL youtube channel to have all the highlights up for each round, and then put them all up here.

The lack of interest in the sport worldwide is kind of sad, but i guess that's what makes it uniquely Australian.

AFL footy at it's best is the most entertaining field game in the world, along with hurling imo.

That's round one done and dusted!

Much bigger test this Thursday for the baggers Corkie.

And although they were depleted, always good to see West Coast turned over.

Melbourne will be the bench mark I think this season.

I agree mate. The Bulldogs will be another story entirely, and Richmond are probably on the slide. I'm just glad that Carlton finally got one over those Tigers.

Are the Blues back as a major player again? Hawthorn are up next, and for me that's going to a different sort of challenge.

It's one thing getting yourself up for Richmond and the Bulldogs, but Hawthorn are in the middle of a rebuild and have a rookie coach as well

Beat the Hawks though and i think i might finally believe that the Blues are back. This is the best playing list Carlton has had since 2000/2001 though.

The team they had in 2011 with Chris Judd was a good one as well, but the current Carlton squad has a lot more depth to it than in 2011.

It's the third quarter of the Collingwood v Adelaide Crows game, and the Pies are winning by 41 points.

The Pies sure have started the season well for a team that was tipped to struggle. Barring a monumental collapse they should win this now.

Actually it's 47 points now the Crows are getting slaughtered.

Other results so far this weekend are Sydney Swans 107 Geelong Cats 77, Collingwood 100 Adelaide Crows 58, Essendon 75 Brisbane Lions 97 (Essendon lose again lol) Port Adelaide 56 Hawthorn 120 and Gold Coast Suns 69 Melbourne Demons 82.

I saw a guy kicked his 1000th goal and they stormed the field like Tony Hibbert scored
Actually a normal thing when milestone goals are kicked. Usually 100th in a season. I was at Waverly Park last game of the season around 1985 when Brian Taylor Kicked his 100th for Collingwood. Have the crowd stormed the ground and Taylor got an injury out of it and spent the rest of the match on the bench.

Like what I see from the way the Pies have played so far but going to be a test against the Cats next weekend. Think we might have a fairly up and down season though still.
