We showed a lot of character, but yeah it was bit of a bottle job on Melbournes part as well imo.

Yeah the Lions at the Gabba will be a tough game for us, but we do have some serious momentum behind us now.

I'm just glad that Carlton have made it this far, because after that Essendon defeat things were looking very bleak indeed tbh.

These guys were such good players in their time and such perfectionists that they expect the same of their players when they become coaches. The replace the assistants isn't a bad idea as it did work for Collingwood a few years ago under Buckley when we made the 2018 Grand Final but I think if Vossy loses more than he wins from now on then he is in serious trouble and the whole place might need an overhaul.

The situation really has turned around for the better since that post thankfully! We showed a lot of maturity as a club, to stick fat with Vossy during that rough patch imo.
 

Brisbane Lions 79 Carlton 63, the Lions at the Gabba was a bridge too far for Carlton in the end.

This was our best season since 2000 though, and i feel that we made a lot of progress this year.

No offence @Sinski but i'll be cheering for the Lions in the grand final!lol Will you be able to get down to Melbourne to see the game mate?

Nah. Would not get tickets. They are impossible. I will be watching from my own house and yelling at the tv.
Was in Coolum Beach last week and watched the Prelim from the local pub. Had to put up with one of the barmen yelling Go Giants everytime he walked past me. Towards the end he told me he was a Carlton fan so I had to tell him Go Lions to make it up!!!

Carlton had a good year, but it's very hard to win a flag from outside the top four imo.

As for the grand final i'm going to predict a Pies win. I just have a feeling that the Lions might get stage fright at the MCG.

I think the players had nothing left in the tank mate, after the Sydney Swans and Melbourne games.

The Brisbane Lions were on their home ground, and they were the fresher team coming off a two weeks break as well.

We've seen a toughness and mental resilience from Carlton this year, that we hadn't seen from a Carlton team since 2000/2001.

If we handle the trade window well (don't need to go overboard) we can really approach next season with enthusiasm.

Hoping for a cracking GF on Saturday
