Got to my first game of the season yesterday (I work weekends), mighty performance from Carlton to absolutely spank Port Adelaide. Good atmosphere at Marvel with the roof closed. Four wins on the bounce, can the Blues make finals?

The Bluebaggers are back!

Couple of big wins. Port Adelaide is no small scalp. Well done.

Carlton are in the mix to make the finals, don't think they will progress far if they do make it however. The top four will be hard to beat, as well as a resurgent Geelong.

That's what you call drawing the short straw - many times over.

At least with Everton, we used to win stuff in the past.

Kudos to the Bluebaggers. That is some scalp.

Carlton have really turned the corner after a mid season slump.

Up to fifth on the ladder. They have found form at the right time of the season - hopefully they can carry it into the finals.

As for the Hawks.........

Last week, leading Richmond in the third quarter by 40 points, goalless in the fourth, lost by one point.

Umpteen times this season they have been on top for most of the game, only to lose in the dying minutes. They run out of steam, they lose composure, they haven't learnt how to close a game out.

Very frustrating.

I plan on drinking tomorrow to settle the nerves.
If Carlton can knock over Sydney, I fancy the chances against a Melbourne team potentially missing Brayshaw and Van Rooyen

I think you guys have a chance. Melbourne has a gun midfield, but their forward line is crap. The winner though goes to Brisbane for the prelim which will not be easy.

In with a chance for sure, their fwd line has gone to [Poor language removed] recently, but so has ours (Curnow exempt).
Cripps needs to be playing with a mattress under his shirt atm, ribs would be killing him.
Win or lose, this season has earned a tick now, just hope it's built on next year and can push into that top four.

I thought our season was over after the defeat to Essendon last June. Yet here we are in our first prelim final since 2000!

Old Carlton would've kicked Vossy out after that Essendon defeat. It really has been some season for Carlton.

That Carlton flag is coming. It may not happen this year but it's coming!
