Plan falling into place nicely, Cook pulling the weather card, thank God by the way, got a bit close in some regards.

Lets be honest, there's a clear gulf in ability between these two teams, England are playing averagely and dicking the Aussies, it took a monumental effort from them to get in this position in this test in the first place. I'm content.

jesus christ. these are suppose to be test standard players, yet they're all getting in and getting out all the time.

i believe they've been batting way too slowly all series. I know it's test cricket and the run rate shouldn't really matter, but they seem to be trying to stay in instead of getting out and when they do eventually get out they've only got about 20-30 runs to their name with the odd 1 or 2 getting 20 more. They're letting the aussie bowlers dictate the game when they should be taking the attack to them and making them feel the pressure. been woeful for a very long time this england batting line-up.

Not too sure what you can do when normally reliable batsmen like Trott and Cook are out of form

Root and Cook need a big opening partnership to kick things off. We're not half missing Strauss.

is it me or has the score stayed on 188 for about 3 hours now? i'm sure they were at that score ages ago.

It's TOO defensive! If a good ball comes along now and they get out to it, the fact they've batted out time is irrelevant, they will be 188-6. even if they survive till the close but add about 5 more runs.

England will think, yeah good days work, 2 of the 3 sessions we only lost 1 wicket. but you see the score at 190-5 and it's pretty pointless. There's not much use in only losing 1 wicket a session if you only score 57 ala first session

haha, i saw that coming an absolute mile off. especialy after the ball before. bairstow crumbles under pressure, why doesn't he just play his natural game? trying to grind an innings isn't him and hasn't worked so why continue with it?
