metaphorically speaking obviously. usually home town decisions come about not because the refs or umpires are under actual threat, but just the general atmosphere in the ground. its a well known phenomenon, not sure why you are questioning it, its a standard thing.

Except there was no atmosphere. Nobody in the crowd was questioning it at all.

I actually think it was a bad decision, but the idea it was “home field” influenced is proper mental.
